I'm a fan of waiting for better stuff to come in, and in this case, it was in the form of the HGBC 1/144 Powered Arms Powereder pack. Essentially, I attached this to the Titan Assault Gundam that I had before.
Here are the following pics, with a in-depth descriptions:
I. The Boost Powered Battle Arms
The very basic unit of this "Arms" craft is the Boost unit for the Mark II. However, as you can see, I've added two RX-178 shields (and their arm mounts), A Powered Arms set, and some AoZ Hazel parts (re: shields). For some of the additional stuff, I've used Battle Arm pieces.
It's a surprisingly sturdy form, but I can see this becoming quite loose as time goes on.
II. Backpack mode
I will admit that I was thinking of Spiral Zone and Centurions when I came up with this unit's design. However, I am still thinking of swapping out the Hazel/GM AoZ shields with the shotgun shields.
III. Combined form
The mobile suit itself is simple: the upper body is the HGBF Mark II RX-178, while the lower body is taken from an RX-121-2A Advanced Hazel.
Again, I feel that more can be done, and I am exploring changing the side skirts into something else (possible more equip arms). Alternatively, I have considered swapping the main body for a Primrose core block, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea, as it may distance the design from the HGBF theme.
It's also possible for the corefighter to pilot the backpack in mobile suit mode. Seeing as there are two pegholes in the "flippers" of the corefighter, I'm still looking into the use of equip arms.
In all probability, this unit will undergo one or two more final upgrades. I'm even thinking of coming up with an "assistant" mobile suit, one that will be a sort of "remote link" mobile suit with no pilot.
