Takara-Tomy Transformers Headmaster Set

For those who want their Transformer Characters to share bodies, then this Headmaster set should be perfect. It's also good for, say, people who have the Takara Tomy version of Chromedome to get the IDW head styling.

Evolution Toy: Super Getter Go

One of the clunkier Getter Robo designs, but I have to admit, it's got that Super Robot charm.

Hiya Toys: M577 APC (Aliens)

This armored personnel carrier from the Aliens movie should be a killer display piece, what with it being in 1/18 scale.

Trailer: Frame Arms Girl Anime series

Now that the anime is happening, I suppose they'll probably have to come out with full-toy action figures for the Frame Arms Girl line. It's either that, or they will come out with ALL sorts of new armor variants.

Gundam: Barbatos Lupus Rex

As time goes on, this Gundam unit from the Iron-Blooded Orphans series is becoming appropriately more and more demonic. It's a rather big stylistic departure from normal Gundam mecha, but hey, it's a good thing.

Bandai HGUC Accelerate Evolution 1/144 Zeta Gundam

I'd been wondering what the big thing was about with this version of the Zeta Gundam, since it didn;t look much different from earlier versions.

As new images have come out, the big thing, apparently, is that it can transform (swap-out parts, or "partsforming") and have an excellent range of motion for posing.

Am in for this!

Bandai Macross Delta VF-31J Siegfried Hayate Immelmann Use

I liked Macross Delta because it had a somewhat healthier love story than some of the recent ones. And, from how the review reads, it looks like this Chogokin version of the lead mecha is a pretty sturdy toy representation.

Trailer: Gundam Thunderbolt - Season 2

I don't like the premise of this installment of the Gundam metaverse, but dang if this trailer isn't pretty.

New Video Trailer: Yamato 2202

It looks like the struggle isn't over yet. My main beef with the franchise, though, is that Earth always seems to be on the brink of extinction. But then, we have to remember that this is a Cold War-era anime in its original form.

Kotobukiya Frame Arms RayFalx

Aside from the sticker-shock price, I think the Rayfalx is a good kit to entice people into going for the Frame Arms line. It's not my cup of tea, admittedly (that's why I'm not getting it), but for some people, the sleek modern-mecha look is a good aesthetic.

Takara Tomy / Hasbro Transformers Masterpiece Inferno

Inferno was not one of my favorites from the first lines of Transformers, but I can definitely appreciate a good toy rendition when I see it. Takara Tomy has a big winner with this Masterpiece. I find it interesting how they include original and animation head designs - that's like how the TakTom and Hasbro toys differentiate their lines these days.

New Kotobukiya Frame Arms Re:Frame offers - Gourai and Zephyr

I'm an unabashed fan of the more "mecha" offers of the Frame Arms line (The new Frame Arms Girls were okay, but once they started taking over the line, was not too amused). The new Re: Frames are definitely an improvement for internal structural stability, but that may not be usable in terms of the older kit designs. That being said, it's good to see these older designs get reprinted.

Sen-Ti-Nel Metamor-Force Eagle Fighter (Dancougar)

I've been looking forward to how Sentinel's Metamor-Force line would do this, and I can say that even if it's expensive, it looks like a perfect product for niche collectors.

And of course, with Studio HalfEye  involved, you can't go wrong with transformations.

Arcadia 1/60 Armored Strike Valkyrie VF-1S

It seems we're getting a lot of new Macross products these days - And I have to say, there is a certain grittiness to the older units.

Bandai SRC Shin Mazinger Zero

Mazinger Z is one of the archetypes of super-robot mecha manga and anime, so it's no surprise that it gets a reboot every now and then. The SRC Shin Mazinger Zero figure is from the latest reboot of sorts. I love how it looks, but the combination of the Zero wing and the axe blades on the arms seems a bit awkward. But hey, this *is* about hotblooded mecha mayhem, right?

New Anime: Atom - The Beginning (AstroBoy/Mighty Atom)

It looks like the Astro Boy mythos are getting a jumpstart with Production IG (Ghost in the Shell) doing a prequel of sorts. It's interesting to see how Tenma and Ochanumizu were as younger people - and if they only became more what they are as they grew older.

Hi-Metal R: Macross Destroid Spartan

It looks like Bandai's Hi-Metal R line is on a roll with the Macross Destroid Spartan. For those who like mega-map gaming, this can also work well for your Robotech needs. In any case, this is an incredible toy - heck, I didn't even realize that the "nosecone" had that sort of pop-up detail.

It's refreshing to see more toys for support vehicles. It lends to a better display aesthetic - and, of course, play aesthetic as well.

Body Kun / Body Chan from Bandai's S.H. Figuarts line

Let's be honest, we all would like to have some blank action figures be it for simple posing reference while drawing, to making them the foundation for custom-built action figures.

Bandai's SHF line brings not one, but two blank figures (male and female) to the mix.
